These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Certy mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”). The Service is provided by Certy Limited, a company registered in London, United Kingdom (“Certy”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Certy mobile application, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

Certy is a professional software platform designed for electricians and electrical professionals that helps generate electrical compliance documentation using AI-assisted tools.
The Service may assist users in generating documentation including but not limited to:

  • Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)

  • Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC)

  • Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificates

  • Inspection and testing documentation

  • Other compliance-related reports

Certy may use artificial intelligence and voice processing technology to assist in generating these documents based on information provided by the user.
The Service is intended to assist professionals but does not replace professional judgment, inspection obligations, or regulatory responsibilities.


2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Service.
The Service is intended for qualified electricians, contractors, and electrical professionals or individuals acting under their supervision.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable regulations, professional standards, and licensing requirements.


3. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Certy grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Certy mobile application for your professional use.
You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the application

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes

  • Resell or sublicense the Service without permission

All rights not expressly granted remain reserved by Certy.


4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription.


iOS Users
Subscriptions purchased through the iOS application are processed through Apple In-App Purchases and are governed by Apple’s payment terms.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period.
Users may manage or cancel subscriptions through their Apple App Store account settings.


Android and Web Users
Subscriptions purchased outside of the iOS application may be processed through Stripe or other payment providers.
These subscriptions are governed by the applicable payment provider’s terms.


5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service may generate documentation using artificial intelligence based on user input.
While Certy aims to assist professionals efficiently, AI-generated outputs may contain errors or omissions.
Users are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying all information

  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations

  • Reviewing and approving all certificates and reports before submission to clients or authorities

Certy does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or regulatory compliance of AI-generated documents.


6. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree that:

  • You will provide accurate information

  • You will review all generated documents before issuing them

  • You will comply with applicable electrical safety regulations

  • You will maintain appropriate professional certifications or qualifications

You are responsible for the final content of any certificate issued using the Service.


7. Data and Privacy

8. Intellectual Property

However, you grant Certy a limited license to process such content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Certy Limited shall not be liable for:

  • Errors in generated documentation

  • Regulatory or compliance issues

  • Professional negligence by users

  • Loss of business, profits, or data

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Certy’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user for the Service in the previous 12 months.


10. Apple App Store Terms

If you downloaded the application through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that:

  • These Terms are between you and Certy Limited, not Apple.

  • Apple is not responsible for the application or its content.

  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the application.

  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the application.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.


11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Use the Service unlawfully

  • Attempt to misuse the platform

You may stop using the Service at any time.


12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.
If we make material changes, we will update the Last Updated date and may notify users through the application or website.
Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
